Riding Director

Job Description

As the Riding Director at Point O'Pines, you will oversee and manage the camp’s equestrian program, ensuring a fun, safe, and enriching experience for all participants. You will supervise the riding instructors, maintain the riding facilities, and work closely with the camp leadership team to integrate horseback riding into the camp’s overall activities. This position requires leadership, organization, and a passion for working with children and horses.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the camp’s horseback riding program.
  2. Plan, organize, and execute daily riding lessons, trail rides, and related activities.
  3. Supervise and mentor a team of riding instructors.
  4. Ensure safety and proper horse care procedures are followed at all times.
  5. Work with the camp director to create a weekly schedule of activities.
  6. Conduct assessments of campers’ riding skills and provide feedback.
  7. Maintain riding equipment, horses, and facilities in good condition.
  8. Foster a positive, fun, and supportive environment for campers and staff.
