Breeding Manager

Job Description

Manage collections, packaging and shipping of semen for 6 different stallions. Maintain foaling supplies and foal out all mares. Manage teasing and ordering semen to breed 20-30 mares per year. Transport horses for off-site procedures.  Care for all broodmares and foals. Assist with herd health for all farm equines, including vaccination and deworming schedules. Assist with other farm operations during off season.

Candidates should have:  Drivers license and experience transporting horses. Experience foaling mare.  Ability to handle stallions for collecting and teasing.  Experience monitoring maresโ€™ heat cycles. Ability to keep organized records and communicate effectively with other professionals. Ability to work as part of a team.
