Traveling Veterinary Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Traveling Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This position has potential to be full-time or part-time. The veterinary assistant is the veterinarian’s primary medical support. They should assist throughout any examination and treatment. They aid the veterinarian in achieving greater efficiency be relieving them of technical work and having equipment and medications ready for any procedure.

Additionally, this position requires a strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. The ideal candidate can work well under pressure and ensure all aspects of the job are completed. The assistant will be responsible for the organization of the vet's workload and client orders at sales, communicating with other veterinarians at sales, and organizing communication to clients at sales.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
2. Keep medical records
3. Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatments at sales
4. File keeping and bill preparation while at sales

Assistant must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs
