Operations Manager
Job Description
It is the responsibility of the Operations Manager to ensure that farm operations run smoothly and are carried out correctly and timely; to oversee maintenance and keep all farm areas, facilities and equipment in good condition; and to communicate frequently with general managers regarding status of farm activities, prioritizing of maintenance projects and collaboration on improvements that can be made. Specific elements of this position include training, organizing and supervising farm personnel; checking all horses daily with attention to their health and correct care; maintaining the farm and farm vehicles in a clean and organized condition; and coordinating with outside vendors. This is a salaried position. The Operations Manager can set his/her schedule as necessary to carry out his/her duties. He/she is generally expected to work 6 days per week.
