English Riding Instructor at Libben Horsemanship Academy

Job Description

Nurture the love of horses to people of all ages and earn commissions? Yes please!

We offer a balanced work/life schedule and family oriented community. Our team looks for ways to encourage and edify each other daily - we work together to have a great atmosphere for our horses and guests!

What you get to do:

  1. Teach students of varying skills/experience on our lesson horses using our levels-based curriculum and lesson plans as a guide for instruction.
  2. Build an English show team from the ground up.
  3. Conduct assessments for new students.
  4. Teach unmounted group horsemanship classes.
  5. Occasionally assist with barn chores or feeding.

Your perks as part of our barn family:

  1. Balanced work/life schedule โ€“ I donโ€™t want to work 24/7 and I donโ€™t expect my instructors to do so either. Family, friends, and vacations are important!
  2. Edifying work atmosphere. We treat everyone (staff, students, guests, horses) with respect and honor, and expect everyone who comes to our facility to do the same.
  3. Opportunity to earn commission through inviting new students to join our barn family and possibly sales projects!

Who we are at Libben Horsemanship Academy:

  1. We serve people of all ages learning all elements of horse care and horseback riding. Our mission is not only to help our students learn to excel with their horsemanship, but to experience comprehensive personal development for a lifetime of learning.

This is currently a part time position (20+ hours per week) but could easily increase as our program grows.

We will assist with housing for a short time should you choose to relocate to Bakersfield.

I look forward to hearing from you!
