Ready for a winter where your “office” is the show grounds, the veterinary truck, and a steady stream of equine athletes?
Rabanal Equine is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team for the Wellington winter season. This is a hands-on position working alongside our veterinarians throughout the busy Wellington circuit.
You’ll be involved in appointments, diagnostic imaging, treatments, and the day-to-day care that keeps horses healthy, competing, and performing at their best.
If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, working with horses, being part of a great team, and learning something new with almost every case, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do
- Work side-by-side with veterinarians during appointments
- Assist with diagnostic imaging and treatments
- Handle and restrain horses as needed
- Help prepare horses for procedures and evaluations
- Assist with keeping equipment organized, clean, and ready to go
- Help keep appointments and the day running smoothly
- Provide excellent service to horses, clients, and the veterinary team
- Travel to horse shows throughout the Wellington season

- Comfortable working around horses—or eager to learn
- A clear communicator who stays calm in a busy environment
- A team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed
- Comfortable working outdoors and in a fast-paced setting
- Available for the Wellington season, November through May
- Previous veterinary or equine experience needed
