Horse Care Taker/Groom
Job Description
We are adding another person to our horse family! This position is for the day-to-day care of three privately owned horses,and two donkeys. This is a full time position working 5 Days and 5 Night-checks weekly(40 hrs) while living onsite. Private 1 Bedroom Apartment with Utilities. Must have previous sole charge experience, and drive horse trailer. Minimum 3 years experience. This role includes items listed below with additional responsibilities of barn cleanliness.
Responsible for the daily care of horses including but not limited to grooming, bathing, picking feet, feeding and watering horses, and leading them to and from the grass and bluestone paddocks. Daily barn maintenance including mucking, cleaning and filling water buckets, preparing feed AM/PM feed, sweeping and removing cobwebs from aisles and stalls. Maintain an organized and clean facility at all times.
Light exercising of horses in the indoor arena.
Must be legal to work in US and speak English.
