Head Instructor

Legacy Equestrian in South Lyon is hiring a head trainer to join our active lesson program and hunter/jumper show program! This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional looking to work within a small lesson barn, show quality horses, train dedicated clients, and be involved in a supportive team environment!

Ideal Candidate Must:

• Be 23+ years old

• Must love working with kids and adults of all ages

• Have experience teaching hunter/jumper and/or some dressage of all levels

• Have a flexible schedule, including some weekends

• Has horsemanship and horse care knowledge

• Be a positive, hardworking team player

Position Includes:

• Showing, schooling, and preparing horses for competition

• Teaching lessons in a fun, safe, and educational environment

• Helping maintain daily barn operations including lesson schedules and booking show entries

• Riding and schooling a variety of horses for training and maintenance

• Working with a supportive, dedicated barn community

• Able to sub in for stable hand when needed
