Demand for our breeding masks, performance masks and stable lights continues to grow in North America. To meet this demand, we are currently recruiting a Sales & Business Development Manager in the Ocala, Florida market. The successful candidate will have sales experience, equine industry experience, and know the Ocala market well.  The role reports to the VP of Sales, North America.

Key Responsibilities

    Account Management & Growth

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive revenue growth
  2. Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell within assigned accounts
  3. Provide top-notch customer service, addressing client needs and resolving issues efficiently
  4. Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess performance and uncover additional sales opportunities
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with customer needs

 New Business Development

  1. Proactively identify and target new customers, expanding Equilumeโ€™s client base
  2. Conduct market research to identify potential expansion opportunities
  3. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive new business
  4. Build a strong pipeline of prospects and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through deal closing
  5. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking functions to generate leads

Sales Strategy & Execution

  1. Meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals and key performance metrics
  2. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress using CRM software
  3. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and contract negotiations
  4. Monitor market trends and industry developments to adjust sales strategies accordingly
  5. Work with Marketing to support lead-generation campaigns and sales initiatives

Reporting & Analysis

  1. Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports and market insights
  2. Analyze customer data and sales to identify opportunities for improvement
  3. Use CRM and sales tracking tools to document activities, opportunities and customer interactions

Qualifications & Skills

  1. 3 years of experience in sales or business development
  2. Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth
  3. Strong negotiation, communication and relationship building skills
  4. Comfortable working in a target-driven, results-oriented environment
  5. Ability to work independently and also be a team player
  6. Outstanding communication and listening skills
  7. Can effectively articulate the science behind our product line
  8. Equine industry experience or equine/animal science background
  9. Passion for the horse and a respect for all disciplines and breeds
  10. Schedule flexibility to work nights or weekends as needed
  11. Can travel as needed.Valid driverโ€™s license.
