EQUINE ANESTHESIA TECHNICIAN

Join a new equine surgical practice in the heart of South Florida’s sport horse community.

Bridge Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Equine Anesthesia Technician to work closely with our veterinarians in providing safe, attentive perioperative care.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare horses, anesthesia equipment, and monitoring systems for procedures.
2. Assist with induction, positioning, maintenance of anesthesia, and recovery under veterinary supervision.
3. Monitor and document anesthetic parameters, recognize changes, and communicate promptly with the veterinarian.
4. Place IV catheters, administer prescribed medications and fluids, and assist with patient preparation.
5. Maintain anesthesia equipment and support surgical preparation and postoperative care.

Ideal candidate

1. Veterinary technician with hands-on equine anesthesia experience.
2. Confident handling horses, including during induction and recovery.
3. Strong attention to patient safety, organization, and communication.
4. Reliable, collaborative, and comfortable in a surgical setting.
5. Veterinary technician credentials preferred; relevant equine anesthesia experience highly valued.
