Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee our financial operations. This role functions as both a high-level strategic partner and a hands-on Controller, responsible for the integrity of our financial data, internal controls, human resources oversight and liquidity management. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience managing complex cash flow cycles, financial reporting, and treasury operations, ensuring the company’s capital is optimized and risks are mitigated. This hands-on professional will lead financial analyses and support corporate executive decision-making.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  2. Experience: 5–10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.
  3. Cash Flow Expertise: Proven track record in managing complex cash flow models and treasury functions for a mid-sized organization.
  4. Skills:
  5. Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems and Excel (financial modeling).
  6. Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax compliance.
  7. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business intelligence.
  8. Clear and professional communication skills, capable of interacting with vendors, stakeholders, and internal departments to resolve disputes or manage expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Strategy & Cash Flow Management:
  2. Direct and optimize the daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasting processes to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
  3. Manage working capital, including monitoring accounts payable/receivable (A/R) aging, and implement strategies to reduce collection cycles.
  4. Analyze cash positions to identify trends, mitigate financial risk, and support executive decision-making.
  5. Controllership & Reporting:
  6. Oversee all general ledger activities, month-end close processes, and the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements.
  7. Establish and maintain rigorous internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  8. Manage the annual audit process and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax professionals.
  9. Operational Oversight:
  10. Lead the daily accounting functions, including AP/AR oversight, payroll processing, reporting and compliance and expense management.
  11. Develop and implement standardized financial procedures to improve departmental efficiency and data accuracy.
  12. Provide variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budgets/forecasts.
  13. Leadership:
  14. Act as a key member of the management team, providing financial insights that influence business strategy.
  15. Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of accountability and precision.
