Broodmare Manager/Experienced Stallion Rider & Trainer

This position includes a 3 bedroom, on-site apartment with all utilities including wifi. All our horses have been born here and were sired by stallions that produced at least 1 million dollars in cutting, reining, or working cowhorse. No outside horses are boarded or trained, We have recently changed our focus to using 4 of our home bred stallions to breed our mares. The stallions are taken 5 miles off site to be collected and there is no breeding of stallions at our training facility. We are looking for a broodmare manager/horse trainer that has at least 7 years of experience in all aspects related to breeding mares, foaling out babies, riding stallions, and putting first rides on young horses. Our training philosophy focuses on strategies where both the rider and the horse are willing participants in the process. Though we have 24 horses only the 4 stallions and 4 young horses need to be ridden.The staff currently responsible for taking care of the horses are young adults who have worked here at least 3 years, are eager to learn more about training & foaling and will always be available to help the trainer. We are located in Texas half way between Houston and Galveston. Our location is unique as the road in front of the property is within walking distance to such places as Walmart, Home Deport, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Chill's, major hospitals and more. However the back of the property adjoins over 1000 acres where we frequently help our neighbor with his cattle.
