Asst Instructor and Rider
Job Description
We are located in NOVA, about 1 hour from DC and have a family farm offering training board and lessons. We have two on site managers and housing will be available in June 2027. This is a small community of riders who train and compete locally and regionally in dressage and working equitation. Additional to riding lessons, we focus on horsemanship and groundwork. We have 12 horses, many trained here, who are safe and easy to handle. The student body is 75% adults and 25% youth. Our Academy was opened in June of 2025 offering primarily private lessons for adult and youth riders on our horses. All horses are trained, have competed and receive excellent care and maintenance.
All work weeks are 5 days. PTO is provided for full time staff. There are opportunities to ride, lesson and compete if interested. Staff is paid on payroll each week. The owner and manager lives on site with her husband and 3 children. She is a FEI trainer, judge and competitor in dressage and working equitation.
We currently are offering two positions.
Asst Instructor/Rider - teaching lower level dressage, horsemanship, working equitation. Some barn chores required and scheduled around the lesson and riding.
Barn Help/Groom/Asst Manager - assisting with daily care of horses, communication with staff, keeping barn clean and organized.
Please send me an email if you are interested. We would love to hear from you.
Thank you!
