Assistant barn manager
Job Description
Seeking barn help at private farm due to maternity leave. Rewarding opportunity to work in a drama-free environment with high animal care standards. We are looking for someone who is willing to be involved in all aspects of farm and horse care. The job requires lifting 50 pounds and has a flexible schedule with some mandatory sole charge weekends. Limited stall cleaning as horses mainly live out. Additional duties include caring for a kennel of racing/show Siberian Huskies. Opportunities to learn more about sled dog racing if interested. Ideal candidate would have ability to ride some of our horses daily with lessons available from ECP Level IV instructor. Potential benefits could include board for your horse, lessons on your horse, or training board. Lodging for the right person could be discussed. Flexible start date May-early June. Minimum commitment through the end of August. Potential opportunity to travel to Aiken, SC for the winter for additional training. Located in Jefferson, NH surrounded by the beautiful White Mountains
