About Friendly Pines Camp

We are a summer camp founded in 1941 with campers ages 6-14. We have a riding program and horse facilities. In the summers we have approximately 50 horses on site. We have an arena for English Riding as well as an arena for Western Riding. Our feed barn is directly adjacent to the beautiful Prescott National Forest where we take our campers on trail rides! The Equestrian Director is responsible for managing a team about 10 riding staff/counselors (Ages 17-23), this includes evenly delegating tacking, feeding, and watering responsibilities amongst yourself and the staff.

The Equestrian Director is also responsible for maintaining the wellbeing of the herd. (Ordering/administering medicine, calling Veterinary services when required, etc.)

Working with the director team to create staff schedules and build out activity times.

We are looking for someone with a passion for equine care and a willingness to be a part of camp!
