Working Student Position

Working Student Position available:
We are a boutique style Eventing facility located in Indian Trail, NC in search of a full time working student to start in April ‘24. We have a high standard of care and our training focuses on strong and correct basics for both horse and rider to build and keep confidence through the levels. Applicants must have a good work ethic and be a team player with prior horse knowledge and be willing to learn how we do things.

The job:
🦄 Feeding, turnout/bring in, stalls (10 max).
🦄 Grooming and tacking
🦄 Show grooming or sole charge when I’m away.
🦄 Baby sitting*** I have an infant daughter that is a constant fixture in the program and while I ride you must be comfortable and competent helping with baby duty.
🦄 General Farm upkeep chores.
🦄 6 days a week, roughly 8-4 if you bring your own horse. If you do not bring a horse we are happy to accept 5 days a week 8-4. Hours always depend on exact lessons or show schedule or if we’re working around the weather.

I already have a summer working student lined up so this is a 6 or 12 month commitment. Applicants must be 16+ years of age and have their own reliable transport if they are not living on site. I do require references from previous trainers or barn managers (or your vet) and a short riding video. And in the essence of fairness, any serious applicant should feel free to ask for my previous working student’s references for me and my program and what the work environment is like.
