Travel Show Groom

Position available immediately. It is seasonal but could be permanent for the right person.

Looking for an experienced, seasonal show groom with a love and passion for horses. One who can also travel within the continental United States and as stay home to care for the horses.

Position requires being physically able to, knowledge and experience in:

• Preparing and presenting show ready horse for assigned discipline
  (Primarily dressage)
• Day-to-day care of assigned horse(s)
• Bathing and Grooming
• Braiding
• Clipping
• Holding for farrier and vet as needed
• Packing and unpacking for shows
• Tacking up and untacking
• Maintance of tack
• Lunging
• Turning in and out
• Feeding and steaming hay
• Mucking stalls
• Knowledge of basic equine medical care
• Able to travel:
  • Travel time may be up to a month or as needed
  • Travel is within the continental United States
• Attentive to details
• Self-motivated
• Pluses:
  • Experience in bemering and red lighting
  • Experience in hauling/trailering is a plus
    (Hauling/trailer a 6 horse trailer is a bigger plus)
