We are seeking a professional who prides themselves on turning out happy, healthy, well-groomed horses. Candidate has successful experience as a sole-charge Groom, Head Groom, and or Management position. They have strong awareness of self and their surroundings and are ready to bring their expertise to a professional and rewarding environment. This is a Live-In position with shared night check responsibilities and vacation coverage.
The ideal candidate has a seasoned toolbelt with warmbloods, bring patience, a sense of humor, an agile mindset, are observant, and maintain a tidy barn. Thrives in a calm environment and truly seeks to connect with their equine charges. Must have experience at the upper levels in Showjumping or Dressage.
The Equine Professional
- Work one on one with owner and operate independently 1-2 days/week and when owner is travelling.
- Implement daily individual nutrition programs, exercise plans, therapies and administer medications.
- Be responsible for inventory control, ensuring that supplies and equipment are well-stocked and organized. This includes managing, hay, shavings, feed, medications, grooming supplies, and other necessary items.
- Share night checks and holiday coverages as part of your responsibilities.
- Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs.
