Head Groom

We are currently in search of a head groom for our small, competition hunter/jumper barn. Groom responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning Stalls
• Turn out / bring in
• Feeding
• Grooming, Clipping, preventative care
• Tacking up
• Stable maintenance (sweeping, cleaning buckets, etc)
• Setting jumps

Depending on skill/hours, job may also include mowing grass (zero turn mower), dragging ring, painting jumps/fences, cleaning tack, etc.

We have on the property anywhere from 9-12 horses at a time, that rotate turn out. We are a fairly private barn, with a few clients who occasionally come for lessons, but mostly are horses are ridden by our two on site riders. We show at the Kentucky Horse Park shows during the spring & summer, and may occasionally travel to WEC Ohio. We also regularly attend the Winter Circuit at WEC Ocala from January – March.

We are looking for a reliable self starter who is interested in a low-drama, quiet barn to work at.
