Groom for Western Show Horse Barn
Reining show barn looking for a groom to take care of 5 shows horses and 1 mini.
Based in Lexington, Kentucky. Job does include housing on-site. Well behaved pets may be considered.
December 15th – April 15th (approximate) in Loxahatchee, Florida with housing provided in Florida.
This job entails:
Full care of all horses, including but not limited to:
Turning out and bringing in horses
Blanketing
Stall cleaning
Barn cleaning
Daily show grooming
Tacking up and untacking
Cleaning tack
Following a feed and hay schedule provided by owner
Riding is possible for experienced riders
Other duties as assigned
Job is 6:30am to 4pm Tuesday through Sunday with some flexibility with agreed upon changes by management or owner. Night check (giving hay, picking stalls and changing clothes based on weather) 5 nights a week (8:30pm).

Experience:
Must be legal, own a car, have experience with show horses (hunter/jumper, dressage or western disciplines) and be dependable and responsible.
