Draft Horse Covered Wagon Teamster(driver)

This is a great position for anyone that loves draft horses. We are only able to hire people who are legally able to work in the US without a visa. This is a summer business from dates May 1 to September 23, please only apply if you can do these dates.

This position carries an enormous responsibility as you are responsible for the safety of guests & horses. A very high degree of professionalism, confidence, knowledge, excellent communication, customer service, and multi-taking skills are required. In this job you will learn how to drive our teams of draft horses from a covered wagon. This is a very fun job as  you have an opportunity to talk with guests and help make their Alaskan Vacation memorable and special. We do train for this job it takes about two weeks to be fully comfortable on your own to drive one of our big boy teams. For fun we also have some minis.

We schedule a 40 hour work week with two tours a day or one tour and side work such as working with the horses feeding and watering and grooming. It is $16.00 an hour plus tips you receive from generous guests. We also offer on site housing.
