Job Details: Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor
Fair Hill Therapeutic Riding Center is seeking a motivated individual for the position of part time Certified Therapeutic/Adaptive Riding Instructor. Fair Hill is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization serving individuals with various disabilities. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of instructing therapeutic riding lessons and un-mounted program activities according to industry standards and in a safe professional manner. One-year teaching experience is preferred.
The individual is responsible for the following:
- Manage schedules for the participants and communicate with caregivers.
- Volunteer management and recruitment.
- Maintaining tack and equipment care, organization, and needs.
- Provide services and activities in Therapeutic Horsemanship that follow PATH Intl. industry standards including maintaining required paperwork.
Skills:
- Horse-handling and English riding experience including an understanding of basic English equitation principles.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Possess organizational skills.
- Knowledge of and experience working with children and adults with disabilities.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with community.
- Ability to work in a team.
Hourly pay commensurate with experience with a range of $20.00 – $26.00 per hour.
10-15 hours a week to start. Possibility of additional hours for the right candidate.
